Dennis S. Klein is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit and Appellate Mediator. With
more than 40 years of legal experience and over 27 years as a litigation partner, he has
handled some of the nation’s most complex commercial disputes, class actions, banking
litigation, cybersecurity matters, director and officer liability claims, and appellate cases.
Mr. Klein has represented major corporations, financial institutions, government entities,
and professionals in high-stakes litigation across the country, including matters before
numerous federal appellate courts and the United States Supreme Court.
A highly accomplished appellate advocate, Mr. Klein has had primary responsibility for more
than twenty significant appellate cases, many of which have resulted in frequently cited
decisions across federal courts. His appellate experience spans multiple United States
Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
In addition to his litigation and mediation work, Mr. Klein is a respected author, lecturer, and
educator. He served as an Adjunct Professor at the Florida International University College
of Law from 2017 through 2023 and has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of
Miami School of Law since 2018. At both institutions, he has taught the highly regarded
course, Negotiating for Advantage, which has reached full enrollment every semester. Mr.
Klein has also published extensively on commercial litigation, cybersecurity, data breach
litigation, director and officer liability, banking law, healthcare liability, and mediation
practice. His articles have appeared in Law360, the New York Law Journal, the Delaware
Journal of Corporate Law, and other leading legal publications. He is also a frequent speaker
for professional organizations and legal education programs nationwide.
Mr. Klein earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was
a member of the University of Virginia Law Review. He also holds a Master of Arts from the
University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Muhlenberg College.
